Boyle Poker Irish Poker Winner

The finale for the Boyle Poker Irish Poker Championships was held this week – and a winner has been declared! Online casinos players will be interested to know that Kieran Walsh, a young poker player from Cork, took home Euro 150,000 in winnings. This was quite the accomplishment considering the quality line-up of professional poker players including Andy Black, Roy ‘The Boy’ Brindley, and The Hendon Mob. Online casinos poker fans can learn from Walsh that pros aren’t the only ones who win major tournaments.

‘It was a fantastic weekend of poker with some of Ireland and the world’s best poker players competing. The event has been successful and is now the biggest poker tournament in Ireland and one of the biggest in Europe. We are already looking forward to next year,’ said Paul Magee, spokesperson for Boyle Poker. With the over 3,000 people who participated in the tournament helped make this the biggest poker event in Ireland’s history. If online casinos poker fans would like to take part in other major poker tournaments, they simply have to check their favorite online casinos and check how to qualify for a live poker tournament.

Regional heats and nationwide finals are how the championships began in September. A Heads Up international ‘test’ was played between England and Ireland after the main tournament. Representing England, The Hendon Mob, defeated their Irish rivals Padraig Parkinson and Andy Black. Online casinos everywhere participate and host poker tournaments. This was Ireland’s moment to shine within the global poker community, but online casinos everywhere are always offering both online and land-based poker tournaments, so players everywhere have the chance to find glory like Kieran Walsh.
